fuck no
bad idea, i didn't read it, just the title
I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk. A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind. A need to return to genuine practice, right effort. Need to push on the great doubt. Need for the spirit. Hang on to the clear light.

What benefits would there be? New traffic? You don't actually believe people would read this board for the first time the way it has been for the last few months and stick around to contribute, do you?

How was that bitchy? It was a completely honest observation from someone who's been "message boarding" for 10+ years.
Bullshit ridiculous drama does NOT lure new posters in to sticking around and contributing. Period.

X is a great example of how drama not only turns off new members, but alienates established members who come to these places to be entertained, not wallowing in meaningless e-drama.
Ever noticed that there are a significant number of established posters missing from here right now? Actual quality, contributing members like Ms. Bammington? Ever wondered why? Probably not, hence not seeing my point here.

If people still come here, it's because they don't mind e-drama (or dare I say, even enjoy it), or they come out of habit. My point isn't about people who are already here though, it's about people reading IT for the first time, deciding if they want to become a member here. I have several friends I think would be great here, but I'm too embarrassed by the ridiculousness of certain individuals here to invite them. I know that means nothing to you since I'm such a shitty poster, but I suspect there are others who feel the same.
