I read that the medication totally fucks them up by making them tired and kind of in a haze which most don't like but it does help keep them from committing the acts again.Maybe its not full proof but you can't lock someone up for life under our current laws.

This would be a perfect example of a prison on an island full of sex offenders and no children.

One of the reasons the effect of medications is hard to assess is because in order to judge it's efficacy, you need to basically let them out and see what they do. You can't do that obviously. So, it's been poorly measured.

they are doing that in some states.You can't lock a guy up for life and you can't physically castrate them so medication is the best option.Their quality of life suffers but oh well.
