Karl Rove won’t be prosecuted in CIA leak case

BIRD33 Wrote:She would be indicted if that were true.It never happened, wilson did go to africa to get his info and he was right. He didnt need his wife to tell him, he was there and talked to the nigerians and saw their capabilities. She might have known that the niger claims were bull but his info was based on his findings while in africa. You are repeating gop talking points that arent true. Why wasnt she arrested if what you said was accurate?

What do conspiracy theories have to do with discrediting someone by ruining there spouses career even though the guys telling the truth? It happened, Rove and cheyney did it.If you want to know why the country is so fucked up its because of two faced moralizors(sp) like yourself who preach do the right thing but at the same time are so petty and can't stand to lose they turn blind eyes to obvious wrong doings.

I didn't get any of that from a GOP talking point. I got it from Valerie Plame on wikipedia (unless thats a Karl Rove website and I didn't know). I'm not saying she did it, it just looked awfully coincidental.

I have no idea why they outed her regardless. It shouldn't have been done. We may never know. But Rove isn't going to be indicted.

Wikipedia is the source of your argument? Are you fucking serious?Thats hilarious!Nice job discrediting yourself.try reading a paper thats not based on some pimply gop sycophant's warped view.

"I have no idea why they outed her regardless"

You seriously mean that? Why are you trying to kid yourself? What besides political gain would be the reason she was outted?this is the glossing over peoples actions that GOPers do that I was talking about, thanks for the example.

No, I know the jest of the story, i pulled it up on wikipedia because its non biased just to get the dates and sequence right. Personally, I think she gave her husband the inside CIA info and he used it to make a personal attack on Bush and take the credit for himself. I just don't see the Niger government being all that upfront to a congressman about nuclear trade secrets.

But, then again, those are just personal opinions with nothing to back them up. If that is the case, then I see why they leaked her identity. Who knows?

Why are you not questioning the fact that the Nigerian government told a congressman that documents were forged and what countries they sell uranium to? Do you seriously think this guy went over there on his own and gathered that kind of intelligence?

He's not a congressman(Wikipedia? did you mean ambassador?) and he was right about his info. The guys worked for diplomatic services(undercover cia\nsa) since the 80's so yea I do think he could gather enough evidence. So far the only people indicted was a cheyney staff member so why hasnt plame been indicted?Seems to me that it would solve alot of bush's problems if they did.

"Wilson was a member of the U.S. Diplomatic Service from 1976 through 1998. From 1988 to 1991, he was the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. He was hailed as "truly inspiring" and "courageous" by George H. W. Bush after sheltering more than one hundred Americans at the embassy, despite Saddam Hussein's threats to execute anyone who refused to hand over foreigners. As a result, in 1990, he also became the last American diplomat to meet with Saddam Hussein (Wilson, 2003). When Saddam sent a note to Wilson (along with other embassy heads in Iraq) threatening to execute anyone sheltering foreigners in Iraq, Wilson publicly repudiated the dictator by showing up to a press conference wearing a homemade noose around his neck. Saddam offered a public apology for the diplomatic note."

Shortly thereafter, while musing on the choice of Wilson for the Niger mission, columnist Robert Novak noted the fact that Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, worked for the CIA. For information on this, see the Plame Affair. The information was published in a July 14, 2003, column[2] in which he said, "Wilson never worked for the CIA, but his wife, Valerie Plame, is an Agency operative on weapons of mass destruction. Two senior administration officials told me Wilson's wife suggested sending him to Niger to investigate the Italian report."

Even if everything above is true does it.

1.Give a valid reason to the outting of a cia agent since thats against the law?

2.Change the fact that the wilsons were right and the administration refused to listen to both sides of the WMD argument?

They outted a CIA agent who disagreed with them regardless of the fact she was right.thats illegal and immoral when you look at all the people overseas that worked with her that were exposed as cooperators with the US goverment when she was outted. You wont see one ex cia person agreeing with the administrations actions because its dangerous and puts agents lives at risk. You don't get it.

The Wilson's are the smartest two covert operatives in the world. They could have single handedly found out any secrets anywhere. They should wear capes and change their names to Bond.

Geez I can't believe your dodging my questions!Joke the wilsons all you want but they were right all along and dick cheyney still believes Iraq was getting uranium from niger. All the faith, power and money you stupid hicks gave them and they either are to stupid to get things right or purposly ignored facts to bolster their war built on false pretenses.I like that I was right about the bush administration all along and if I was you I'd probably be scrambling for reasons why I'm so gullible too.
