As far as the death penalty goes... I'll agree with you that there shouldn't be a shred of doubt for someone on death row.
However, People like this

While these are two examples.. I can find many more. In my opinion these people should be spared nothing.
As far as Obama hitting it out of the park... I could have predicted you'd have said that. The good news is if they pass his job bill and it fails... he can blame bush.
