Sounds like a no brainer to me. If the wife is on board, I say go for it. You can only do this kind of thing when you are young. Get it out of your system and take the cash. You never know, traveling that much and meeting people might bring on an even better opportunity.

2nd. With the exception of the kids though. You have to make sure to keep an even balance between your work and time with your kids. AH is correct in saying you will only be young enough once to endure such a demanding job but at the same time you have to remember that your kids will only be kids once too. The more time you can spend with them and getting to know and teach them things you want to instill in them and their characters, the better.
