Condemned Utah killer could face firing squad
Under state law, Gardner, 49, decides whether he wants to be killed by lethal injection or be shot by a five-man team of executioners firing from a set of matched rifles, a rarely used relic that harkens back to Utah's territorial history.

I find it fascinating that a real religious state like Utah still has the death penalty. Its also kind of funny that some how a firing squad is less humane then running 50,000 volts through your head and melting your brain.
If you must have the death penalty by firing squad because your citizens demand it can we at least do it "Running Man" style where they release the guy into one of Utahs parks and have him be hunted by the guys who are set to shoot him?Seems more sporting and would be great tv.
