I do think what is taught in school these days is a crock of shit. How many years were we all taught ( age 28+) that eskimos where just such. Now if you use that term you are expelled for a racial slur. Here anyway.

I won't propose to know whether a majority of slaves were treated good or bad; however, from what I've read, many slaves were treated well enough by their owners that when they were freed, they chose to stay in the South and with their owners rather than go where it was potentially unsafe for them to be.

Who can among us can answer these things anyway?Its like asking how much a moon beam weighs or how many chucks a woodchuck chucks.Its not like theres libraries full of first hand personal accounts of abhorrent treatment and subjugation of an entire race for centuries in every library in the entire world.Like nessie the loch ness monster and bigfoot these mysteries may never be brought to light.
