So as everyone knows I'm a 9er fan. That being said the 2nd team I watch is the saints. I have no allegiance either way to them but I watch their games. No joy when they win.. no despair when they lose.

All that being said the local station is covering two stories on the saints. The first is their impending acquisition of Jeremy Shockey. Apperntly no one but the saints want this guy and the Giants want 2nd rounder and Roman Harper. The saints have countered with just the 2nd rounder saying they won't give up Harper. My question... is Shockey worth a 2nd rounder? If you know the Giants absolutely don't want him why not wait it out and get him for a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Also there is talk of the saints trading up to 4 to take Dorsey, Ellis or Ghoston. I find Ghoston intriguing because I never heard of the guy until the workouts. Alot of people have compared him to Mike Mamula and others have compared him to LT. Why risk it if you are the saints. Just sit tight and take the best LB available.

Shockey is barely worth a second rounder.He's been hurt a lot and is a head case plus the team won the superbowl without him.

If I was the saints I wouldnt be trading up.Nobody is a lock to be a pro bowler to make that worth while.

Eagles are talking about taking a reciever from Cal with their first pick.The last reciever from the state of California we took in the first round was Fred ex Mitchell so I'm extremly confident Reid knows what he's doing.I'm sure Mcnabb is thrilled we arent going after Chad Johnson(maybe he actually is after T.O.'s ego hurt his feelings).
