Here is my Dr Pepper Treasure Hunt Code:

In 1993, the state legislature renamed Interstate 12 as the "Republic of West Florida Parkway"

Aha, So we are heading west on Interstate 12. Interstate 12 lies completely within Louisiana and should not be called the Florida Parkway.

Now, IH-12 dead ends into IH-10 in Baton Rouge.

West on 12 would dead end into IH-10. Now what about this red mercury?

Okay, Lafayette is named after the Marquis of Lafayette. The Vermilion (mercury sulfide) River runs through Lafayette. That must be that clue.

There is really only one highway that goes east out of Lafayette and that's IH-10 to Baton Rouge.

Now, what the fuck is a town named after the fusion of the Sun.

If you leave Lafayette on Highway 90 and go south and east, you come to a town called Morgan City. Just north of there, off Highway 70 is a place called "Solar Pass" Louisiana.

Maybe?

Fuck off, stupid. If Hillary or Obama was hidden in the swamps of Louisiana, you'd be tripping over crack heads all over southern Louisiana trying to find them.

C6H12O6 = cane suger. Stay north of that line? Is there a line where cane sugar doesn't grow north of?

Quote:10. Known for C6H12O6 back in its time, all you need to know is to stay north of its line.

Maybe its a "railroad" line that was known for moving cane sugar.

Wow. Lots of sugar can railroads back in the day in Louisiana.

One is interseting though, but it is way north of where I left off at Solar Pass.

He established a permanent roadbed that extended for twenty miles. Reaching from the St. James Parish line on the north, across the entire parish of St. John the Baptist, through the town of LaPlace and into St. Charles Parish, the system finally ended at his Diamond Plantation which is now the Bonnet Carré Spillway flood control between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain.

Quote:The other planters held Godchaux in great esteem, and he was thus able to reach an unusual agreement for a right-of-way to operate tracks over their property. Godchaux gave to each one, yearly, one barrel of sugar weighing 300 pounds. This agreement was honored not only during his lifetime, but for the many years the right-of-way was used, until the rail system was discontinued in 1958. Sidney Cambre, former Godchaux engineer and later supervisor of transportation, stated that on an appointed day at the end of grinding season, several cars were loaded with barrels of sugar and delivered by railroad to the waiting property owners along the right-of-way.

Godchaux named his 36-inch gauge plantation line the MRSB RR (Mississippi River Sugar Belt Railroad), and all the cane cars, as well as locomotives and other equipment, were so marked.
