funny thing. I went to IMDB to see what was out that might have a chick named lisa and be in NY. I thought you might mean wicker park, then I thought: "Nah, to much wrong, its in Chicago for chris-sakes" Big Grin

I saw this movie as well I dont think its as bad as you make it out to be leu. Even though at times the movie was a bit on the slow side and the acting wasnt the best. I thought what that guy was going through was sad that he wanted to end his life to "turn it off"

Read what I said again. The slowness wasn't the problem. The acting wasn't the problem (though it left something to be desired). The problem was the characters, the plot, the theme and the presentation.

And fine, you felt sorry for the guy at the end. But I could tell you in less than fifty words, that a guy the government exploited to catch killers then abandoned at the end of the cold war was tormented by his past, the things he's seen and sees and is searching for redemption and forgiveness.

And you could feel sorry for him, but you're not emotionally invested in him. They never got you interested in the characters. I never particularly cared whether the protagonist, or antagonist for that matter, lived. The characters were two dimensional and were submerged in a plot that's been exploited so many times itself, that unless you have something new to say, or add (which this director didn't) then you should just stay away from.

Seriously. My standard for movies being acceptable is low, but this piece of shit ranked right up there with Magnolia

Speaking of my generally low standards for movies. I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow today. I did some thumb twiddling at a few points, but I was, for the most entertained. Entertained enough to consider owning this when it reaches DVD.

See it in the theatre, unless you have a kick ass sysytem at home. Its one of those movies that benefits from the big screen and loud surround sound system
