I am a lot using photoshop but I've always heard about "the gimp" and that he was as good as photoshop and so on.

So I decided to give it a try; now that he seems to be quite "mature".

Mmh this software is really worth. I mean he's impressive.

For for all the dudes and dudettes out there who want to have fun but don't feel the idea of putting a shitload of money into Photoshop try THE GIMP.

1. he's free
2. he imports photoshop formats (psd)
3. you have the same tools than under photoshop

Still need to do some testing but I already know that I'm going to use it a lot (you can fine tune him much more than photoshop with scripts and so on it's a good point).

So :

The gimp

Ah there are versions for :

- Linux
- Windows
- Mac OS X

did I said that he was FREE ?

so now I tell you, he's free and seems to be really worth the try.
