Can someone tell how DSL compares to cable? I've had cable now for the past
5 years but I'm thinking about getting DSL because it's $15 cheaper a month.. My damn cable company keeps raising the price.. Verizon is wanting to give me a free month of DSL to try. I don't want to waste my time if it's going to be much slower!!!
What do you think?

OK Now i live in Sweden and in general DSL are better here.....

I have been using Cable for 2 years now (Comcast). People who use DSL then check their e-mail on my machine cannot get over how much faster Cable is than their DSL connection.
Problem is... people like my daughter in Ohio get Local Phone, unlimited long distance AND DSL for only around $50-60 a month (AT&T - which they don't offer where I live). For that bundled deal, she lives with DSL being slower... another thing to ask about... packages.

I've been using cabel for a couple of years and the more people on it it could slow down just like DSL.
I am trying to see things from your perspective....But I can't get my head that far up my ass!

Cable. I just switched from DSL. It almost never worked, and I am close to the hub, and when it did work it was nowhere near as fast as the cable is.
My cable is through Comcast, my crap DSL was verizon
