My entire company was asked this today by our senior management team and I thought I'd pose it here.
What do you do to support your community? Donations to charity? Volunteer work? Patronize local businesses?

Patronize local businesses and charity. I don't do the charity nearly enough though.
I'm constantly surrounded by idiots. Present company included of course. :lol2:

I do all three, but not as much the donations as I probably should. I do volunteer a lot though and I do patronize local businesses.

We do the local business a lot. We are strong believers in it. We don't ever go to WalMart. My wife hates them. Whenever you go in they have like a thousond people in line, about 30 checkout lanes and only 3 are ever open. Down with the MAN and his corporate giants. (I feel like Bird)

Yeah, I don't do the Walmart thing either.
I volunteer a lot. March of Dimes and local domestic violence hotline primarily.

volunteer three days a week at a clinic for poor people
i will have to answer for tweety: he walks twice a year in support of something that he doesn't remember

I have to believe in something wholeheartedly to give my time and money. Those two things hit close to home and I believe in them and so they get my time.

I gave up a job that would earn me a butt load of money to take care of peoples kids for considerably less so they can go to work and make a butt load of money - does that count? I also patronize local businesses if they manage to stay open long enough for me to get there.
