The fact we poured billions into the banks and a fraction of that into the auto industry is a joke.Real communities with real people are getting hurt not because of unions but because of poor marketing and design.Do unions need to make concessions, sure and they have.To act like they are the biggest problem when they've helped feed,clothe and educate a good % of americans but just turn a blind eye to the bankers still riding in their private jets is a joke.

unions essentially remove someone's requirement to be good at their job. laziness and ineptness are protected and rewarded, and I think that's disgraceful.

Do you deal with a lot of unions?My experience has been just the opposite.I'll take a company who I know will do quality work over one that could fold at any moment.I'm not talking about the janitors union or school teachers etc..In a some case I agree with you but you paint the picture with too broad a brush.Construction unions are the best builders in the world bar none.Unions have done more good than harm for this country, thats not even debatable.

We have the best construction practices in the world and that is solely built on the unions hard work.A guy who might go from being a plumber to a painter month to month doesnt have the same drive to make things right a union guy who's life is built around plumbing would.Also nothing used to build things in america would be domestic without unions.How many american jobs are directly touched because of that?If you had no unions and no domestic materials buildings would fall down regularly because of shoddiness.The fact that non union people are held to the union standard if they want to continue to do work is also beneficial to everyone.To say they are the biggest problem or one of them in america is a out of sight out of mind lack of understanding of how things get made to the standard you take for granted.

Professional sports unions are not real unions.Its like 250 people in it at one time.Thats different then 30,000 people working in a steel plant in one town with 150,000 people depending on them.

I'd imagine the ultimate goal of this stimulus package is to get back in the black.If it does happen don't you see them dealing in some way with social security?It might not be the system it is now but you can't have people pay into it their whole lives and then pull the plug on it without giving something back to the people who paid into it.

There are millions of seniors living off off social security.What would you propose those people or people our age do when they turn 65 and they work for a non union company with no pension.What do you plan on letting them do, die off?Come on.I don't see how its going to get fixed at the moment but it has to be done and we probably could have worked something out when Clinton balanced the budget so it is feasible if we don't go willy nilly on what countries we "bring freedom to".
