first, I just wanted to rebuild my bbq pit since I had to tear my old one down to make way for the addition to the homestead. Now I'm building a 64"x46" pit surrounded by a stone patio/rock garden/water garden with waterfall. All thanks to Mrs Bill. I will post pics when I'm done. which will be sometime in the next 5 years.

Why is your BBQ grill in a pit?

It's like an outdoor fireplace with a cooking rack in it.
It's a firepit, then. Lingo, Bill. Lingo.

A small verzion of the one's you see in every bbq joint all over the south. at least the one's that cook with real wood.
We're gonna need some pics. We'll give you a month. BTW my new stainless grass grill cooks like a dream. There's nothing better than a summer BBQ.

Slack needed here. I have zero grilling experience, Papa.

Naw, I'm gonna learn trial by fire on my new grill. Maybe to make you happy/piss you off I'll run a thread every time I ruin a meal. How's that sound?
