i have no clue about my ancestors. I just wanted to curse out an italian for their brilliant idea to make motorcycles whose tanks rust and then not bother to coat them before hand :rant:

one of these days you'll learn to consult your local redneck....
They make this wondefull stuff called OPSHO....it eats rust, deoxidizes the rest of the metal, and also acts as a primer. all in one coat but I like to let stuff soak in it...20 bucks a gallon and smells like rotten eggs.

that was actually mildly funny
to be fair to my bike, it is 7 yrs old, and parts wear out. It is in for a regular service and a new chain, sprockets, tires (sup jimmy and size?) and other stuff. All that shit would wear out on any bike. Of course, on an American bike I wouldn't have to wait for parts from Italy
