I'll give a brief answer (regardless that the prick doesn't deserve one).

Very brief response to question about 'why is hoover still here so much?'::::::

1 - I attempted to sell the site outright... dindn't score a reasonable offer.
2- worked with dudemac on handing day to day stuff to him.
3- dudemac's personal situation changed rather dramatically... can't spend time managing site.
4- started program offering cash to visitors to build community driven 'content management'

Summary about what I do:::::
I don't publish / post stories unless they are special interest, or unless I'm helping people with posts.

I do manage the servers... --no one knows them better than me, and I'm doing swagster.com anyway, so all along, I agreed with everyone who's helping me, that 'I'll do all of the back end stuff'. I also pay all of the bills for Swagster.com, and the whole UJ network.

When I stepped out of the spotlight on .com, and worked with dudemac, I said... 'getting help might give me more time to actually ENJOY the sites a bit more' --this seems to be the case.

Bottom line... I'm still around, but spend a fraction of the time on the network, as I don't deal with the content. I will always help / do the backend stuff until someday when I sell the network.

Regardless of where this network once was, or was possibly headed for a time... this is where it is, so get over it. Things change, and you either roll with it or get rolled over.
