Why is that different than "string up all the niggers?"

I just can't abide that kind of thinking and Bush's use of fear to stay on top in the polls. It's a disgrace.

1. he's not a dictator (we're still having elections in Nov, right?)

2. we don't have any stringenr socio-economic controls in this country I am aware of

3. he isn't actively supressing any opposition through terror or censorship is he? I mean: we're having this discussion, women were flashing their panties in an anti-bush protest outside the Republican convention, the daily show ran that hysterical Bush Campaign Ad, etc.. etc..

4. Beligerant nationaslim and racism might be the order of the day, but at the same time I am sure I remember him saying at some point something along the lines of "muslims aren't evil, islam isn't evil, the people who did this thing are evil"
