This is a Weird Story
#41

And I don't know shit about suicide and insurance. I don't think insurance pays out for suicide.

she should have moved to a state that allows it, and let her daughter live.

I read it. However, she could have let her daughter belive and then when she was confirmed "out of town", she could ahve carried out the suicide. The daughter would have returned home at the news, or because she wasn't listed at the orientation. Either way the daughter wouldn't fell victim to the death, or finding the mother.

Oh I agree. Tons of ways she could have done it without including the daughter in it. That's what makes it so bizarre. And that's why I think there is way more to the story, especially the relationship between mother and daughter. There had to be a bunch of hate involved.

Maybe the mother planned to just kill herself. And in some freak way the daughter got brought into it.

Maybe the mother was a reader of the web.....Maybe she heard that leaving her daughter a little money would make her start posting through others, bragging about her newly acquired "death gifts".....And she felt that death for her daughter would save her the challenges of suicide later in life once all the internet people ran her from all the places she was once welcome.

Maybe, just maybe........But bizarre either way.

Either hate or just some severe mental illness that most of us will never be able to understand because we're not mentally ill.

yeah but that's what is so weird about this. she wasn't mentally ill. at least like some psycho path. she just got her life so twisted up that she couldn't control it. lies building on lies. and she felt trapped with no solution.

but the fact that "her only way out" meant to her that she had to murder her daughter is what twists this up so much. how can a person get to that kind of emotional state.

I mean if you are living a comfortable life, beautiful home, beautiful only child, mayor of a city. not your typical type of person that can kill someone. much less their only child. and for a woman to shoot herself to death is not that common.

she shot her daughter to death and then left notes for the responders on how to take care of her pets? that is fucking whacked out.

I'm failing to see how this wasn't mental illness. You have to have something wrong with your brain to be able to kill your own child, bottom line. Maybe it went undiagnosed until she snapped this time, but there's something wrong upstairs on this chick, guaranteed.

would she have killed her daughter differently if she was gay and in the military?

yeah its going to be interesting to see what it was. whatever it was, she hid it very well all of these years. its probably going to be the friends of the daughter that know the truth. the ones the daughter really confided in about what her mom was really like.

The Suicide Notes were released yesterday:

1. One note left on the front door, along with a key to the home, read:

"To our First Responders:

Here's the key for the front door.

I am so very sorry for what you're about discover.

Please forgive me.

Jayne"

2. A second typed note inside the home on the kitchen island, near her husband's cremated remains, read:

"Oh, gracious God, please forgive me and have mercy on my eternal soul.

My sweet, sweet Corinne had grown completely inconsolable ... she had learned to hide her feelings from her friends, but the two of us were lost, alone, and afraid. Corinne just kept on asking, "why won't God just let me die?" We hadn't slept at all, and neither one of us could stop crying when we were together.

Please ask my family to take care of my pets. The dogs, Hope and Lucy, should be kept together or put down.
There are four cats:
Mystic - the black cat - 9 years old
Sassy - Siamese - 11 years old
Snowflake - Siamese - 11 years old
Reno - brown Abyssinian - 6 years old"

3. A third typed note also found on the kitchen island read:

"CONTACT: [redacted information]

Please, please, please, no funeral, no memorial - just cremate us both."

4. A fourth note, handwritten on scrap of notepad paper and left on bathroom door upstairs, read:

"DNR
Do not recesitate (sic) under any circumstances.
Jayne peters"

:lool: "recesitate" I guess that's why she "types" all of her notes. No spell check when writing in hand.

Yup, looks 100% sane to me.

What's this about? "My sweet, sweet Corinne had grown completely inconsolable ... she had learned to hide her feelings from her friends, but the two of us were lost, alone, and afraid. Corinne just kept on asking, "why won't God just let me die?" We hadn't slept at all, and neither one of us could stop crying when we were together." I guess the daughter lost it on the mom for lying to her about everything?

I'm going to guess that "Corinne" was probably fine. Just like her friends thought she was. I think this was all about the mom having a nervous breakdown over finances, the city auditing her expenses, lying to her daughter about college, and lying to her daughter about owning a new car.

She just lost it. And I think she killed her daughter because she was convinced her daughter was suffering as well and she didn't want her to face the embarrassment and learn all the details of the financial mess the mother had created.

Corinne Peters, who recently graduated from Coppell High School, died as she was on the first floor. Jayne Peters died as she was upstairs. Both women were shot in the head.

Some of them (friends of the deceased) also said that Jayne feared living alone while her daughter left to attend the University of Texas in Austin this fall.

Thomas added that there were a few bags and boxes placed in the hallway of the residence; however, it is not known if that proved that anyone was moving out, or that their presence was associated with their deaths.

----------------------

Now, friends saw Corinne loading her car that morning to go to freshman orientation at UT. Then someone else saw the mom unloading the car later in the day.

And boxes were found inside the front hallway of the house.

Corinne wasn't in on this. She got killed by surprise. You don't pack to go to college knowing that you have a suicide pact for later that day with your mom.

life insurance pays out for suicide after the 2 yr contestability clause ends.

Who would benefit from this if it were about the life insurance money? This is just straight up mental illness/desperation, nothing else fits the puzzle.
