I think you are going to find (like i said the other day)....that the $20 billion is not in an account. Its like an IOU that they promise to put in that account. So far they have put a couple billion in there, I think.

The curious part to me is that they are so readily making all these promises of ridiculously huge sums of money. Spending $100 million a day right now. And that will continue or increase until mid August. And then that is still a "hopeful" solution to the problem. It might not work.

You can bet that Goldman Sachs is working much faster and more diligently than any of the cleanup right now trying to restructure that company so it can file bankruptcy and toss this problem back in Obama's lap.

Halliburton is withing 150 feet of the relief well and it is using a new experimental tool to tap into the existing pipe. I'm pretty sure this will be done before August 1st at which point BP will proclaim victory for getting the well shut off well before the mid August speculation they put out earlier.
