#1 Of course. Why shouldn't he?

#2 What is the safety records of the companies working it? IE: How many rigs have blown up in the last 100 years?

Who is to blame for the slow response?

Do me a favor bird....

Can you give me the ecological effects of the following:

A. A Cetco rig that blew out June 3, 1979 and leaked 140 million gallons of oil into the sea.

B. The spill that Iraq caused pouring 500 million gallons of oil into the Persian Gulf.

#1 Halliburton I believe had a role in this current rigs installation.Cheyney has pocketed 100's of millions of dollars from them.Boy I wish we could go back to that administration. Those people were real americans.

#2 Even if the safety records are gleaming you are ok with doing something inherently dangerous to lives and peoples livelihoods(IE fishing) in our own back yard?Seems like the middle east is the perfect place for oil disasters.

Slow response how?Its a ecological disaster nobody has any clue how to fix.It would be nice if Obama could snap his fingers and fix all the worlds mistakes.

Are we trying to downplay the ecological effects of 210,000 gallons of oil per day spilling into the gulf?

Can we do an ecological study on cars, planes, ships? We leave damaging effects for everything we do. Have you ever researched ethanol? The runoff from fertilizers was into the gulf and kill thousands of species every year. Everyone knows about it and they even keep track of the dead zone from it. Are you familiar with that?

But even you see the difference in the two situations right?Bush had to be shown clips of the news 2 days after the hurricane before he reacted. He did react slow. That was a valid criticism.Obama has been aware since the get go but theres no way to react to this to fix it quickly. You can't send the national guard 1000 feet down in the ocean to plug an oil leak.

Do you get how what you said makes no sense and is just what your radio talk show leaders want you to think?

What about not approving Jindals plan to dredge up sand bars to block the oil from coming in? He asked last week before oil hit the shore.

Yes I am familiar with it.

I'd say a car leaking oil or a million cars leaking oil is a little different then placing an oil well where if it breaks it can't be fixed and 210,000 gallons of oil will leak a day.

Of course we do harmful things to the environment every day.I'm not saying stop pumping oil.Just not maybe in places where if shit goes wrong its a catastophe for americans that can't be fixed.See I'm on your side on this, fuck those middle easterners.Let them pump it.My main argument is drill baby, drill is not a good strategy.Alternative energy is.

And this was solely Obama's call?He needs to approve all clean up ideas now?

An alternative energy isn't ready yet. This is a catastrophe. Its terrible in many ways but it is a rare occurrence. The dead zone grows more every year.... instead of coming up with a better way... they say oh well. So shrimpers have to go out further to catch shrimp.

Do you use organic fertilizer in your herb garden?

I have a compost bin that I use to fertilize my garden. I don't typically buy organic unless we eat the skin. All the waste that isn't meat or bone goes into the compost bin.
