Its 50 miles out of Venice which is four hours south of here. I have a customer that plans on losing 20% of their business because they were on this rig.

I'm happy to report most of you are going to die before me.I'm surprisingly healthy by these measures.
Bad habits can age you by 12 years, study suggests
The findings are from a study that tracked nearly 5,000 British adults for 20 years, and they highlight yet another reason to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Overall, 314 people studied had all four unhealthy behaviors. Among them, 91 died during the study, or 29 percent. Among the 387 healthiest people with none of the four habits, only 32 died, or about 8 percent.
The risky behaviors were: smoking tobacco; downing more than three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two daily for women; getting less than two hours of physical activity per week; and eating fruits and vegetables fewer than three times daily.

8-serious question. What are your thoughts on off shore drilling now?I'd imagine they havent changed knowing you but I just read about how Jindals taking a huge hit because he was so gung ho on getting more oil rigs on the gulf around Louisiana.I was surprised by that. Are people mad at him there or is this just chalked up to it being an accident?
8 .... -
Anhil8tor - 04-30-2010
I'm with you on this bird. This is unacceptable. We can't keep having all these accidents all the time. Lets pull in all the platforms and shut down offshore drilling. Its the best way to stop the frequent offshore accidents.
I'm pretty sure we can just buy our oil from other countries now a days.
Jindal has screwed himself. I won't be surprised if he doesn't finish his term as governor.

Ok.Classic misreading on your part.
I've never been opposed to off shore drilling in the US.Just to the notion that doing so will solve our oil crisis completely and that there is no need to concentrate scientific efforts on alternative fuels. My question didnt even contain a criticism of Jindal or off shore drilling. So now that your temper tantrum has abated can I get the real temperature of LA residents in relation to Jindal because like I wrote (if you indeed read it) I read that Jindal is taking a hit popularity wise because of this accident. Please respond once your tears dry, thanks.

As I said.. Jindal screwed himself way before this. Most feel that he treats his "Governorship" as a part time job... not an office or full time job. He has made no budget cuts and hurt education. I believe he will resign from his post before his term is over.
I stated my thoughts on offshore drilling earlier. Lets pull all the rigs out and drive electric cars. Its better for the environment.

Not to be a smart ass but didnt LA rank near the bottom in education anyway?
You honestly have to reconsider how smart deep sea oil rigs off our coast are after this deal.Did nobody think about what to do in case the shit burst 2 miles below the surface?I heard it could pump 6 million gallons a day out in to the Gulf.Exxon Valdez total was 11 million.
Tough shit duck.Daddy needs $1.50 gas for his Tahoe.

Rush Limbaugh thinks enviromentalists blew the rig up.It would be funny if 80% of republicans didnt take what he said as gospel.Thats why your parties fucked by the way.

The amount of money spent on oil spill clean-ups "worldwide" for the past 23 years: $63.2 BILLION. That is $2.7 BILLION annually. Imagine that! That's equivalent to an EXXON VALDEZ event every year!
The amount of money Obama has spent in the last 15 months: $800+ BILLION! That's 19.75 Exxon Valdez events every MONTH! Imagine that!

Can you acknowledge most of that money was spent to bail out the country from a catastrophic republican administration the 8 years prior or do you want to live in a fantasy land?
Last week when I was golfing a friend of mine who is a nice guy but a shitbird like you on politics tries to tell the group how "California is trying to ban school lunches and its obamas fault".I say did you mean they are trying to ban soda and other sugary foods from kids lunches for valid health reasons? He immediately wants to stop talking about it but I'm like no- explain yourself. He didnt have an explanation at all.He heard it on the radio and never bothered to check on what the fuck he was talking about. The rest of the round I was killing him, he ordered a hot dog after 9 so I say "Did you hear Obama's trying to ban hot dogs, man?".He picks his ball up 2 feet from the hole "Did you hear in Obama's america there will be no more gimmes, man?".Like I said nice guy but willing to live in a fantasy world in order to justify his pathetic and paranoid belief system.

8 two quick questions.
#1 Do you think Cheyney should have to testify in his role in crafting energy policy with oil company executives behind closed doors while at the whitehouse?Isnt it strange to only consult people on one side of an issue in a matter that could benefit their corporation greatly?
#2 Say you discover oil in some town underneath a historic school house thats still in use.1000's of gallons of oil a day could be pumped. Not enough to make a dent in our domestic oil consumption but still a good amount. The issue in this case is the school being a historic site similar to a natural treasure like say an ocean where people live and fish cannot be closed.Would it be worth it in your mind to still drill for oil at this important historical site while children go to school around it?Would it be worth it to put those childrens lives at risk and the historical building at risk to pump oil even though it doesnt make much of a difference in the average price of oil if we do?
