Lidge is a headcase but Wagner was the reason we didnt make the playoffs 2 years ago.He choked the last game and cost us the playoffs.Wagner will poison that Mets locker room if he hasnt already.

With Reyes and Wagner there are to many assholes on the Mets roster to be a serious contender.

I can't wait to see Dr. Lecter 3 weeks from now when the mets regain first place for 72 hours.

I got to the game tonight and was in my seats by 6:30, by far the earliest I've ever been for a game.It shows the dedication of a true Philadelphia fan to show up early to prepare for a booing.He got introduced and I'm ashamed to say it was 60\40 boo's to cheers.He went 0 for 4 so it was pretty easy to get on him.He hit into a double play to end an inning so I stood up and sarcastically cheered and some guy called me an asshole.Phillies won, Lidge rules.Rollins will hear this the rest of the year.

I don't get Rollins sometimes. BUt Bird you have to admit, it's widely asserted that Philly fans are total assholes (as are NY fans, given). But even Carlos Delgado, when the fans were riding him for sucking, decided not to vocalize it, but rather to refuse to come out for curtain calls, or grant interviews talks with the media after a good game.
Do you think He called them front runners because the fans boo more when the Phils are trailing in the standings out of frustration? ANd they're less likely to bitch if the Phils have a game or two lead? Either way, it's bullshit to call them put like that. Come Aug 20, the Phils have been in the mix for two of the last 3 years.
And don't talk shit, silly. I think it's pretty clear by now that this thing is coming down to the last 2 weeks of the season.

Quint- I never implied the Mets weren't going to have a meltdown. In terms of expectations, most of the season has been that already. ><

I think he just bought into the perception that was out there about Philly without really understanding how bad it can get here which he's experiencing now.It is no different here than in New York and thats not front running thats expecting something with your ticket purchase.

This is not little league and we do not owe anyone any positive vibes.He's having an off year and he wasnt getting booed at all except when he showed up late twice this year.Burrell was slumping two years ago and the fans would still cheer for him to try to pick him up.

The good thing about Philly is regardless of a 10 game lead or being 3 back we will boo you if you arent giving quality effort.We understand the game and we booed mike Schmidt into being the greatest 3rd baseman ever.

Rollins has a huge head at this point because of the MVP award and its spread to the whole teams attitude.The bottom line is he's a spoiled athlete and he's in the process of writing his ticket out of town.
