part of my prediction is that they won't choke.

they didn't have a legit #1 at all last year, and this year they have the best pitcher in baseball. if he stays healthy he'll put up vintage pedro #s.

There is something deeper going on with the Mets than one pitcher can fix. That was an epic collapse.I'm not sure Randolph is the manager to get them past that.

The meltdown was a good thing, got them more focused for the upcoming year. With such a depleted pitching staff as they had last year, it was a miracle they made it that far. They would have never made it to the pennant in 07.
But the Phils did great in the postseason. :joff:

I heard the Ranger's coach interviewed the other night and he feels good going into this season. He thinks they could go all the way. Yall might want to move the Rangers up to the top of the AL West. I love you.

The old that catastrophic failure was a good thing line.Nice.Its always good to damage a teams psyche by associating itself with the biggest collapse of all time.

While the Phils were in the playoffs Randolph was still wondering if it was time to pop the champagne.

you should be thanking the mets
til last year, the phils had the distinction of the worst collapse evah

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.
