Ignore her everytime she gets up, if she doesnt get attention, it wont be worth it. If you have to, put one of those doorhandle guards on the INSIDE, so she cant come out, unless you let her out. Reward her for going to bed/staying in bed by taking it off. Put it back on if she acts up again.

Well duh, you take it off once they're asleep. And a GOOD parent's first instinct would be to go get their 2 year old out of a fire, not just hope they find their way out

When you first put them to bed, carry them into the bedroom, give them hugs and kisses, tell them a story, or whatever your normal bedtime routine is. Then tell them Mummy loves you, tuck them in and tell them to go to sleep.

The first time she gets up, you pick her up, carry her back to her room, and give her a hug and kiss, and say "now mummy wants you to go to sleep".

The second time she gets up, carry her back to bed, say nothing, put her in bed and leave. No talking and no eye contact.

Every other time just do the same thing. No talking. Carry her to bed, leave.

If she is just crying, ignore it. You can go tell her to be quiet once, but that's it. After that you just ignore it.

Well if you're stupid enough to smoke in the house in the first place, let alone lay down and smoke...you're too stupid to raise kids anyways.

interesting questions. I should find back that pic of the wolf, because around here they had to kill a wolf because he hate too much of his sheep quota (we are like that in Switzerland we allow wolves to eat a quota of sheep then we kill the wolf I mean not the first one but the wolf who has been eating lotsa sheeps) ok well on the pic he was like smiling. really nice pic in fact he was like ashleep and happy.

You have to do it for more than one night. Ignore, ignore, ignore. Or your child is going to end up like I was, and be up every night, all night til he's about 8. Ask banana, it isn't fun. Your kid will think its tonnnes of fun running around thinking "Wee, why arent these stupid fukkers just ignoring me, I would go to bed if they did"
