If you grant amnesty to 11 million people now, you open the door to 20 million more 3 years from now. It shows the world that no one needs to obey our laws. Before long, we'll be another corrupt ghetto, just like mexico.

Dumbfuck.

Both of you guys are sensationalistic. The majority of the people coming here to CA to work are making at least minimum wage, so cut the crap with the slave labor. Perhaps in some cases (very few) there are people taking advantage of them, however there are lawsuits being settled everyday rectifying this situation. So cut with the crap and either make a real case as to why the immigration is good, other than the fact that our vegetables are going to cost $9 more next year.

I know what you're thinking now. You think we're all gay, don't you? Think we're all just a bunch of deviant lifestyle-living same-sex having motherfuckers, am I right?

I don't think immigration is either good or bad, I just think it is a result of our economy. If we could outsource these low paying, backbreaking, labor intense jobs that no Americans want to do, we would, but you can't exactly outsource a new roof or a concrete driveway or the dishes to be washed in a restaurant. You can't outsource a maid or a gardener. You have to find someone to do it and there aren't any people in this country that will do that kind of work anymore.

I will never buy into the bullshit that they are stealing jobs from Americans that want those jobs. That's a great battlecry for the guy that's drawing welfare or unemployment, but the truth is they don't want those jobs. They just want everyone to feel like they are out of work for a reason other than their own laziness or misfortune.

I'm a big fan of free enterprise and letting supply and demand take care of problems. I don't think you can do much to change the course of those actions.

that was a joke right?sensationalistic would be creating hysteria about how they plan to take back the southwest when that couldnt even be possible.Immigration is good because it keeps the cost of goods down, thats been my point the whole time.I will never be competing with an immigrant for a job so i dont care about them taking all the gardner jobs.

If you believe this your world view and understanding of our economy is very limited.

They take more jobs from Black than any other group. Good to see you looking out for your brothers.

And no, it was not a joke. The illegal immigrants are suing for fair wages, overtime, and poor working conditions. You may not see this up in PA, but it happens here in CA.

If you even went to college.

You are not on ignore. I read your comments and from a business perspective I agree with what you are saying. But there has to be a way to do it better than what we have. We can joke about the southwest being reconquisted all we want, but it is slowly moving in that direction. Now we are being extorted as a nation into giving in to the demands of another country. I have problems with this.

Well, if you have problems now, wait a while. Here's the next big problem our economy and workforce will face.

When these mexican immigrants learn to speak english, they will no longer be stuck with the "dishwashing", "fruitpicking", and "gardening" jobs. They will become the waiters, waitresses, mat'erdise (sp?), cab drivers, bank tellers, foremen, you name it. The reason that they work at the bottom of the food chain now is because they can't speak the language. But they'll learn it because they can make more money.

The biggest problem that I see is their kids. These kids are growing up with an attitude. They are pissed that their parents are having to work so hard and they are so disrespected. They are pissed that there is so much prejudice against their race.

Everyone wants to point out the problem and make them part of it. The truth is they are part of the solution of a problem that we have. We don't have a workforce willing to do these jobs.

Please discount the abysmal graduation rate for this group.

It doesn't take much of a graduation rate to move up to the next notch of jobs that they could take over. Some simple math skills, and the ability to communicate and read. Not exactly valedictorian skills.

So, what laws are ok to break next?

I know I'm projecting, but can the car thieves, whores, and pimps protest now?

Btw, this has nothing to do with race, this has to do with breaking laws.

when it was against the law to fuck your own wife in other than missionary position, was it worng to give it to her doggie style??

if so, bow wow, i'm a felon

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

Supporters of the boycott have made no secret of their determination to try to shut down schools, businesses and entire cities. Much of Los Angeles' Seventh Street produce market, which supplies thousands of local restaurants and markets, is closed today. Many meat-packing companies like Cargill and Tyson are also closing many of their plants.

"The meat packers are confirming what we know," says University of Maryland economics professor Peter Morici, "and that is that this large group of illegal aliens in the United States is lowering the wage rate of semiskilled workers, people who are high school dropouts or high school graduates with minimal training."

In fact, a meat-packing job paid $19 an hour in 1980, but today that same job pays closer to $9 an hour, according to the Labor Department. That's entirely consistent with what we've been reporting -- that illegal aliens depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services.

Yes, as long as there's no violence it's a peaceful way to show how vital immigrants are to the United States.

No, it's disruptive to the economy, and any illegal immigrants at those events should be rounded up and sent home.
