I WOULD SWITCH. And no embarassment on my end. Mets have about 4 players in the whole 8 man starting roster (minus pitcher) who are hitters (Reyes, Wright, Beltran, Church). Of those, only 2 are really hitting. Clearly, having Alou and Church out for that time hurts. Big dip in the power numbers for us. I mean come on, fucking TROT NIXON?
Phils have a total stud in Utley, Howard is slumping but could be a great player, Rollins is great too. Vittorino for Beltran? No way. I'll take Philly's double-A catcher though, because I hate both of ours.
Seems like nobody wants the Eastern Division right now. Watching what should be a potent offense fall on its face night after night is making me wretch. I'm sure you feel the same the last 10-12 games or so.
