are you serious? That wouldn't be hard at all. I don't know what kind of pressure that oil is coming out of that pipe with, but plugging it or sleeving onto it would be simple on dry land. Granted being underwater makes it more difficult. But come on. That "top hat" concrete cap idea should have worked. I know that had it ready to put on and last I heard they said the "seas were too rough" to do it. Fuck that. Let those fucking crab fishermen from the north sea take it out there. yeah you are right. i just read its 50 miles off shore and about a mile deep. but still, that doesn't change the fact that the process to cap it would be the same.
