No plans to merge the checking accounts as of right now. I like having my money separate personally. Well, as far as the kids are concerned, he pays for his son (from a previous relationship) and I pay for our daughter. We'll each buy the other kid stuff here and there or pay for stuff here and there, but he pretty much pays for the boy and I pay for the girl.

As far as doing stuff around the house, it's pretty equal actually. He cooks more than I do because I suck at cooking. Even if he does stuff, I usually end up going back and doing it over because I'm OCD. He helps out with the kids a lot. I don't really have too much of a problem with the 50/50 stuff. I like knowing that I can be self sufficient and take care of my daughter on my own if I need to etc.
