We're in the middle of a big heat wave right now and it's roasting on the court. This nine year old boy says, "Can I get some water?"
I said no, wait ten minutes for the break. Big mistake. By the time ten minutes goes by the kids has a belly ache and his little face was all squinty. It was super hot in the sun.
So I order a long break with lots of ice water. We go back to the court and the kid annouces, "I think I'm gonna throw up."
He barely made it to the shady corner of the court before collapsing. He laid down on the concrete and didn't move until twenty minutes later when the lesson ended. I dragged him off the court and he left.
Naturally, with the way kids are raised now it will be ALL MY FAULT that the little fart was sick cause the mean pro didn't let him get water when he wanted it. I hope I still have a job when I go in this afternoon.
