Most believe they will either lose their job or be forced to transfer. South africa, columbia and russia are all being discussed as destination. Sucks for those guys that depend on drilling in Louisiana for their jobs and lively hood. I guess its our fault for being a blue state.

Also not sure how your state typically votes has anything to do with those guys jobs. You've got an epic disaster brewing off your coast.Thats why they are on shaky ground job wise.Be a man and face reality.I'm sure they are.

You have never said oil is the devil but your support of the current administration tells me that you feel that way. Louisiana is going to get fucked here.
I talked to some friends that work in various areas. They said in Fourchon BP bused in 100 to 200 people and put them on the beach cleaning up before Obama got there. About an hour after he left they were no where to be found. Also a friend that works in Halliburton in Houston said people were protesting outside the BP office in sea turtle outfits.

Where they ever said Louisiana is going to get fucked? Where you said Obama is doing the right thing? What are you looking for?

You guys lay off of Obama. He's had a tough week. With the Gulf Oil Leak disaster spiraling out of control and his complete inept response to the crisis, his lack of ability to control the Israelis and their attack on that floatilla of rescue supplies for the dying in Gaza, his complete ineffectiveness of helping with the financial disaster that is sweeping through Europe, and the mounting tension with Iran and North Korea.
And then having to cancel the Memorial Day speech because of the rain. He's gonna need a do-over for this mess.

He just got off of vacation.
When do you think he'll make his third trip to the region to see how progress is going?
Will there be an oil czar or gulf coast czar or whatever to stay on the ground here and cut through the bullshit and get things moving?

I predict Obama's new committee that is getting advice from James Cameron should have this problem solved by the end of the week.
And if they can't solve it, maybe we can at least watch the disaster in 3D as it continues through the summer.

Costner has some kind of invention (an oil separator. how innovative) that he is trying to get them to test.

Is Larry Hagman dead? Cause if he's not, I bet they could get him to help. He has tons of oil company experience from all of those years he played J.R. Ewing on Dallas.

Bird can you tell me if it was a classy move sending the VP to pay respects to the unknown solider so the pres could vacation in his hometown? I mean he did try to do it in his home state instead of Arlington National Cemetery. Its not like we are at war or mounting an offensive in Afghanistan.
