The smell of warm beer and cigarette smoke hung over the room as Cross Eyed Jack contemplated his options. The loss of Crazy George in the drug raid last week had weakened the leadership in the organization. It had to be somebody that could pull his weight with the boys. This wasn't going to be easy.

They were some mean hombres and would fuck, fight or hold the light. Scared of nothing and no one.
