if you're spending that kind of time in the gym, you're either a muscled up meathead and probably can't touch your toes or scratch your own elbow, or your severely over-compensating for your genetic pre-disposition to be fat and ugly

the turn this thread took was that bird wanted to know if it was gay to take that many walks in slow-pitch softball. this has been confirmed, by everyone including bird. co-ed slow-pitch softball is an excellent excuse to drink a lot of beer with chicks, so lets not disparage it too much. so with all points proven, there's no need for this thread to hit page 3

No el retardo, I just pointed out that softball is about as much sport, and requires about as much preparation and discipline as taking a dog for a walk. You were the one that brought my own personal experience into it, so I replied. Now your top rate response is "yeah? well... I don't care!"

I don't expect you to care dung fucker, but my point about softball remains.

Right dude, I have zero athletic ability at all. Playing in a semi-pro soccer league is basically the same as bench pressing for half an hour.

"semi-pro" = adult recreation league. don't pretend you're not playing soccer's equivalent of slow-pitch softball

I'm glad you get to decide what sports are hard or not.You sound like an american talking about soccer.

P.S.
Semi-Pro = old men with time to kill who havent realized they suck yet.

I won't, if you quit pretending you know what the fuck you are talking about. I played semi professional soccer in europe for several years and made a pretty decent living out of doing it. "Recreation league" does not exactly sum it up.

If Bird has played in large stadiums in front of thousands of people, then yeah, we're talking apples to apples.

You sound like an american who doesn't realize that organized sports operates differently in other parts of the world.

Because thats what you are.

then vs. now. true or false - you bought cleats/shorts/etc that you played in this week, and possibly brought your own ball? your team had tryouts but noone was cut, and you or somebody on the team pays to be in the league you're in? my softball team is sponsored and all the league fees, bats, balls, and jerseys are provided. how is what you do now any different?

We have semi pro sports here as well.A GED is optional and its full of washed up guys chasing the dream that died years ago.I'm sure its drastically different in europeon soccer even though it seems you have a ton of pro teams at different levels depending on how good the team is but all are still considered professional. You must be in the world class semi pro league.

The last tournament I competed in was played here. Does this resemble your ball field, or can we agree we are talking about different things?

the tee-ballers get to run the bases at Turner Field (home of the Atlanta Braves) on off days. I don't know if that's relevant, just thought I'd throw it out there

I play now for fun. I pay for my own gear, and I pay to keep the league running. Its a recreational league.

The SP league I played in... cleats are provided, shirts are provided, hotels are provided, transport is provided, physio is provided, compensation is provided.

Clearer?

Worked out 2 the day before that
Plays Semi pro soccer
Played in stadiums
Wants all of us to know this about him
Overcompensating for something

I've been telling you for about 8 posts now that my soccer career and your softball career are a little different. I'm trying to point out differences, but it won't sink in. I couldn't really give a shit what you know about me, so I'll just return to my original point: it's different.

Who asked you if it was different or not?You came into this thread telling everybody that softball was crap when nobody asked. You putting the sport we play down was a pathetic attempt to get into a debate about the two sports apparently to show us up with your semi-pro status. You are a fucking washed up no talent loser.

Dipshit, no one asked me - this is an internet forum. If we all waited until we were asked our opinion, you'd have an empty GD.
