Despite the fact that the morning practice was closed to the public, a crowd of 6,240 showed for the afternoon practice. For the first time in camp, the Cowboys wore pads and went full contact.
It didn't take long for the fans to welcome the newest Cowboys star.
After Owens made a catch during a drill â without a defender on him â the crowd roared. They continued to do so after almost every one of Owens' catches (Bledsoe looked for him often). Apparently, they even cheered when he took a drink of water on the sideline in front of the bleachers.
"That was pretty good," coach Bill Parcells said. "It was hard to hear out there. It was loud."
Owens beat Terance Newman down the sideline, and the crowd went berserk.
"Unbelievable. It was crazy out there," Owens said. "I really appreciated it."
Oh.. and this story is fake. It's a copy of the story we ran on the first day of Eagles camp in 2004. Substitute Eagles for Cowboys, McNabb for Bledsoe, Reid for Parcells, and Lito Sheppard for Terence Newman, and you get the idea.
Just a friendly reminder to keep the long term outlook in perspective as we watch T.O. in Oxnard this summer....

The eagles threw any chance at the superbowl out the window when they wouldnt pay owens.The best part is all the stupid hard ass guys who wanted him out of here are the same morons who booed mcnabb on draft day.

I was just calculating my softball stats cause I'm a loser who doesnt feel like working and I realized that in 24 plate apperances I have 14 walks.Thats more walks that all but 2 teams total walks.Does that make me gay?Its gotten to the point where the other team knows I'm not going to swing unless I get 2 strikes and they are heckling me.Keep in mind I'm the leadoff and still batting 550.

I'm batting either .570 something or around .500 depending on how they score a hit I had.I wasnt trying to be accurate.

How hard is it to figure out how many hits you have in 10 official at bats (24 plate appearances minus 14 walks)?

Youve delved further into figuring it out then I have.My calculation was I was batting around .500 before sunday and depending on how my hits were scored this weekend.My original statment was a question if it was gay to take that many walks in slow pitch softball.I'm a team guy and averages don't concern me.

my take is it's pretty gay. guys on my team do it, especially if there's a weak girl hitting behind them (the dude that walks takes 2nd base and the girl gets a pass too). I fucking hate it. I'll swing a few feet underneath the ball on a 3-0 or 3-1 count, and step out of the box to hit ball 4 on 3-2. walking seems chicken shit. only thing worse is watching strike 3 looking for the walk

I'm leading off with two power hitters right behind me and the back half of the lineup is crap and we were struggling to post 10 runs so its something I felt we needed to win.If I couldnt hit I'd feel guilty but I can so I'm not worrying about it to much.I do feel gay but its funny to watch the pitcher get all flustered after my third walk.
