2011 NBA Hall of fame class...
#1

first off.. why the fuck doesn't the NBA have their own hall of fame? What kind of shit is it that they have to share with the college hall of fame?

Chris Mullin.. understand.

Dennis Rodman.. understand. I wonder if someone thats so bad offensively but so good at rebounding and defense should be in. I can't argue that he shouldn't. There is no doubt that he changed the game with his defense as a piston.

Arvydas Sabonis: WTF? Really?

Reece "Goose" Tatum: A harlem globetrotter? Seriously?

Whats your thoughts on the class bird?

Mullin-solid

Rodman-not a first ballot hall of famer which he is now.Mullin was a better pro but he wasnt first ballot.Someone pointed out that during the bulls run he only averaged 5 pts a game which isnt very HOF like.

Sabonis-Really.He was the shit in europe and could have played here if he wanted too when he was 21 and up.

Tatum-I guess. Its about spreading basketball out to the masses which the globe trotters do.

The NBA doesnt have an exclusive HOF because all the ABA guys would get excluded as well as the foreign guys like Sabonis who is 100% a basketball legend. Its smart to have one HOF for each sport. The college football hall of fame is a joke.I've been there.

I had no idea that it was NBA, NCAABB, European Basketball, and make believe basketball hall of fame.

I could give a fuck what Sabonis did in Eurpoe. Don't they have their own hall of fame? Where does his NBA numbers stack up?

Yeah the globe trotters spread it to the masses... but aren't the games rigged? I mean the play the Washington Generals every night.. whats their record? Are all the globe trotters that had guest rolls on scooby doo in the hall of fame as well?

In the 1988 Summer Olympics, Sabonis led the Soviet Union to a gold medal with a win against a United States team that featured future NBA All-Stars David Robinson, Mitch Richmond and Danny Manning.[4] in the semi-finals. The team later beat Yugoslavia in the finals.[4]

Yugoslavia had Drazin Pertovich and Vlade Divac. He wasnt allowed to play in the NBA until he was 31.He's one of the best europeon players ever. He's a no brainer.

You have a very "larry the cable guy" view of what the HOF for basketball is.

Why do commissioners of sports get in and ambassadors for the sport like the globe trotters do not?Who's helped grow the game more?Commissioners of theNBA or the Globe Trotters?David Stern will get in for what I have no idea besides suspending Jordan on the down low for gambling.

Meadowlark Lemon whom I believe was on the scooby doo episode you referenced is in the HOF.I had to look it up to confirm that. This made me laugh.

A born-again Christian, Lemon became an ordained minister in 1986 and received a Doctor of Divinity degree from Vision International University in Ramona, California, in 1988. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, where his Meadowlark Lemon Ministries maintains an office

Get to the chapel early on Sundays to get a seat in the front pew.He will throw a bucket of holy confetti in your face.

I guess I confuse the basketball hall of fame for the others... Could you imagine if Rocket Ismail was in the football hall of fame for his work with Calgary?

Don't get me wrong.. I loved Warren Moon with the Oilers... but I could care less what he did for edmenton.

I never did understand why commishes get in. Does baseball put in commishes?

Pete Maravich was a good pro but not great yet he is still one of the best basketball players of all time and somehow him not being worthy in comparison to Dennis Rodman in any hall of fame involving basketball is weird to me.

Warren Moon is in the "Pro football" hall of fame not the NFL hall of fame.Doug Flutie didnt get in for his CFL #'s but I think it helped Moon. He's a borderline HOFer to me.

There are baseball commissioners in the HOF.

It should just be one sport one hall of fame.Make a wing for each individual niche like college or pro football. When I went to the College Football hall of fame in Southbend years ago I shit you not I saw more advertisements for Tide detergent and Domino's pizza than I did cool things that had to do with college football. It was totally underwhelming.
