Pong or Fantasy Football Freaks...

Baltimore Fighting Okra gave up Lloyd, Brandon WAS WR; Year 2007 Draft Pick 1.06

Y.W. IS M.L. gave up Taylor, Jason MIA DE; Year 2007 Draft Pick 2.04; Year 2008 Round 1 Draft Pick from Y.W. IS M.L.

I just pulled this deal off. Last year I traded for someone elses first round pick and ended up with the sixth pick this year. I parlayed that into a first rounder next year and Jason Taylor.

I feel like I robbed him.. what do you think?

Really depends what you need. The sixth pick this year isn't too good. It looks like...

1. AP
2. M. Lynch
3. C. Johnson
4. B. Jackson
5. J Russell

So you could of taken a chance on M. Bush or C. Henry if you needed RB, Quinn if you needed QB or your choice of WR. LLoyd was cut and isn't with a team right now so no big deal. Next year's draft looks a lot better. Hopefully you delt with a struggling team so that you get a higher pick. Taylor is a defensive stud and should be on the field a good amount with Miami's QB situation. Not a bad deal at all...

Edit, plus you got the 2.4 this year? If Michael Bush is there you have to take him. WR is the deepest and you could get a decent player there.

s'actly what I was thinking...

I got the 2.04 out the deal along with his first rounder next year. His team isn't strong and I am taking a chance that he has no worse than the sixth pick this year.

I have the 1.4 and really don't know what to do with it. I have V. Morencey and am a GB homer so B. Jackson seems the logical pic. Thing is during the draft, everyone said Jackson was a reach, supposedly he hasn't played too much college ball. Also, my team is desperate for a #1 QB. Got Rothlesburger and Pennington. Some are talking up Big Ben and the new coach that wants to air it out more but watching him last year, though hurt with the wreck and the surgery, I really didn't like his throwing style. J. Russell would be my choice of QB from what I've heard. Jackson is the true 1.4 pick as leagues are RB heavy and with Russell the next choice if I would trade out, I would need the 1.5 and that guy also needs QB so I couldn't really get any trade going to move down one.

We hold it way later. Usually a week or so before the reg. season begins. It helps with the later picks as you usually can find a nice sleeper or two that does well in preseason.
