Tiger probably felt pretty good.For all his troubles he's still finishing high in the majors.Thats not the Tiger of old though where he's looking to crush everyone.His putting was terrible.Missed some easy 5 footers for par and birdie.

Any of those big guys could have had it.Watching Dustin Johnson blow up was painful to watch.How do you shoot a 66 one day and an 82 the next?

Watching Dustin Johnson make that triple on the 2nd or 3rd hole reminded me of that French dude in the major that year when he had it all wrapped up going into the last few holes. Then he hit into the water on a par 3. Tried to hit out. fucked that up. then into the sand. i can't remember how it went, but it was a complete meltdown on one single hole and it cost him the win.

How do you think he fell into that habit?

Tiger has an overall lack of trust with his driver that manifests itself in different ways. One, he obviously swings extremely hard, and sometimes too fast. He feels like he isn't in the right place in his swing, or that he isn't going to hit the right shot, and the anxiety of that tends to make people speed up. The quest was to get him to make the same swing with his driver he did with his irons in terms of effort, speed, his head not tilting, rocking and dropping. He was like, "I need to fix that, I'm going to work on it, I'm working on it, I'm going to work on it, I understand," and so on, but I didn't see it to the extent I felt he needed.
