I sit down to write this and no words come to me
How can I express the feelings about the person who moulded me?
You shaped me and taught me all the standards I try to live by
And now, in my middle years, your lessons can not be denied.
Mother, your wisdom is like a conscience in my ear
Holding my soul to earth and quashing all my fears
You're the one who loved me through all the times gone past
And no-one else knew what to say to make me understand at last
I love you, my mother, with all my heart and soul
And now I can love another with your example to hold
Although I may not tell you as often as I should
Without you I would not be the man who's soul is true and good
How can I repay all the things you've done for me?
I try to live and be the man I know you want me to be
Why is it important that I live this way, you ask?
Without your love to guide me, I couldn't love at last
YOu see, you taught me that there's more to life than fame, fortune or glory
If I never make it big, it will never end the story
Because it is those that fill your life with love and respect
That matter in the end and cause you to have no regrets
These things you have taught me, and these things I had to learn
Sometimes with a stubbornness, and sometimes getting burned
For it is only those who know you that you really must live for
And for you, my mother, I live and love with all my heart and soul

Rhea will be ever remembered and loved by all.
