I never had an Xbox ...

Have an PS2 which I have had for 4 years without problem.
Got a PS3 three months back and am really happy with it.

Why do I keep this cesspool alive?

I had one for 3 years with no problems, and then it red-ringed. I paid a guy $40 to fix it and it worked fine after that for a few months until the DVD drive started acting up and not ejecting. I then replaced the DVD drive myself with one from another friend's XBox. Don't do this. Apparently you need the DVD key from the old drive to flash the system memory, so I essentially completely fucked my XBox over. So I bought a new one which, within 6 months stopped reading discs. I sent it into Microsoft cause this one was still under warranty and they sent me a new one.

Glad you asked?

I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

I've had it mine replaced/fixed 2 times because of the red ring of death.

Mine can't read several disks now, which isn't covered under warranty.

I've given up on the Xbox and moved to my Playstation3.

Son, I am Disappoint.

Does anyone know how I can make a PS2 die?

Insert clever, witty and amusing signature here.

Mines almost 4 years old and it gets a lot of use so I kind of expect it to falter a bit.My problem started when I scratched my COD world at war CD and still tried to play it anyway.Totally fucked up the thing that reads the disc.Warming it up really has worked. If it starts up again I'll just but the arcade version ($150?) and move my hard drive over.

It's difficult, but it can be done.
