I used to be a wrasslin fan when I was a kid so I enjoyed it. Its a pretty sad story and paints a sad picture of what becomes of those people.

Sad and surprisingly accurate. The hubby is an indy wrestler, I've seen a lot of guys who used to be big (sup Honky Tonk Man) that have become sad shells of what they used to be. They're all majorly into crack and booze, very sad.

Great movie though.

I saw the documentary a while back with Jake the snake... it put to light alot of that stuff. Not many of those guys make it out. I loved the parts in the movie when he'd come to a door and he could hear the crowd chanting his name.. its tough to leave all that behind. You go to alot of indy events? I'm thinking about taking 8.2 to one coming up. There may be 50 fans there and its clean as far as language and blood.

NICE!! Million Dollar Man is my all-time fave. I've always liked the bad guys, and he was downright evil. Especially the laugh.

I wouldn't say I KNOW Honky Tonk Man, but I had this really fucking bizarre night with him one night. Our old roommate was a ringrat (which means she slept with wrestlers because they were wrestlers). So after the show one night, the promoter drops by the house with Honky in tow. He was piss ass drunk already, I guess he was looking for some lovin'. Anyway, he ended up sitting on the couch for about 3 hours drinking and talking shit about everyone who was anyone back in the day. Talk about a guy who believes his own hype, it was ridiculous!! It was funny and surreal but very sad. Dude's probably in his 50s and he can't let go of shit that happened 25 years ago.

As for the indy show, I've been to hundreds. You guys will have a blast. Don't be afraid to go out there and be vocal, the guys love it and chances are, you'll get them to interact with you guys specifically. It's a great night out.

good movie, marisa tomie looks great for her age.
daron aronofsky (director) was on howard stern a few months back. he was saying the studio wanted nicholas cage instead of mickey rourke. would have been a different movie.
