flip-flop

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

Yea I really don't think Pedro will make much of a difference. If they can't get Hallliday then they had to get someone.Phillies are still going back to the world series regardless. We own the dodgers and the mets.Thats right we.

Phil's are back on track.Pirates game the other night was hilarious.Down 4 in the 9th and Stairs starts it off with a solo shot and then Howard hits a three run bomb opposite field.I really don't see who has the talent or heart to stop them from going back to the series.Nobody in town is excited about bringing in Pedro.I don't care either way but they need someone.

Minus Myers its the same staff that won it all last year.Brett Myers is a deal breaker? You arent watching many Phillies games if you think anyone in the NL is beating them.

Get there and see what happens.Obviously their chances depend on who they play.Nobodies gone back to back in 10 years.I'm hearing a lot about the phillies pitching problems but not a lot about any team they should be worried about.

the national league is weak, of course there's no one there to be worried about. there are only 5 teams more than 2 games above .500.

the dodgers are good, but you've already decided that they have no chance, and everyone else is seriously flawed.

not surprisingly, the phils got crushed by the AL East in interleague play. that's about how the world series would go.

Interleague especially during the early part of the season is no barometer on how a world series will turn out.I kind of remember the Phil's manhandling the best the AL had to offer last year in the series.Wasnt that the same team as the one the Sawx couldnt get past despite having double the payroll?

the Sox lost that series only because Ortiz, Lowell, and Beckett were all hurt.

the Rays choked under the World Series pressure, something the Sox obviously wouldn't have done. Phils got lucky the Rays knocked off the Sox.

I'm saying they wouldn't have choked under the pressure...just like if the Phils lose in the Series this year, it won't be because of the pressure, being defending champs and all.

The Rays lost because they hadn't been there before and didn't play up to their ability. If the Sox would have lost it would have been because of injuries, not pressure.

You've already awarded yourself the NL pennant, but I'm the arrogant one? Classic.

How do you know how the Sawx would have lost?I guess you know the inner most feelings of the players and know they can't ever choke?I'm predicting the Phils make the series based on their record and watching them play.Thats different then the blind faith you're exhibiting.
