I like how the big news stations are now debating whether or not they are giving Obama too much media coverage. The spend 30 minutes debating about Obama and whether they are giving him too much attention?

And what's even more hilarious is that they will spend all of this time on the air talking about how other stations are giving Obama more news coverage than they should because they know that stories about Obama increase ratings and how they are using Obama to get viewers attention.

You'd be surprised at how favorable Fox has been for Obama. I usually keep tabs on both CNN and Fox. The only coverage McCain is getting are for his flubs. He's GWB II.

I think Fox is waiting to jump all over Obama but right now they don't have any ammo the likes of the Reverend Wright bullshit.Supposedly they have more footage of Jesse Jackson calling Obama the N word and it's interesting as to why they havent leaked it out.O'Reilly said it was because they don't want to ruin Jacksons reputation but some how I don't buy their pure intentions.I kind of think they didnt want to garner any sympathy for Obama and also help Obama seperate himself from the crazy black leadership in white peoples eyes.

Fox will be back to the same bullshit closer to the election.

Some channels like MSNBC go a little overboard on the Obama ass kissing,I can't watch Keith Olberman anymore.News programs that are clearly biased and have nothing good to say about the other side is very unsettling to me and I turn it off.

No, I'm not arguing that he isn't rock star material right now. He's basically the Tiger Woods of the political world right now.

And actually, comparing him to Tiger is pretty spot on.

Did you hear the announcers talk about Tiger during the British Open? They'd say, "Well, we know that this tournament isn't about Tiger this year, but if he were playing under these conditions......" or "I know the players are sick of being asked about Tiger and what Tiger is doing or could be doing. Everyone has agreed that this week should be about the other players and not about Tiger. I think its smart that the media has steered away from making this event anything to do with Tiger and I whole heartedly agree that this shouldn't be about Tiger and any mention of Tiger only downplays the importance of....."

I guess its just the irony of people talking about what they think doesn't need to be talked about.

Its like telling someone to shut up and they say, "Ok. I'll shut up. I didn't know I was talking that much. If I had known it was bothering you I would have stopped. All you have to do is tell me to be quiet and I will. It doesn't bother me if you tell me.......blah blah blah blah"

Did I hear right that Obama raised $58 million dollars last month?

That is insane. It doesn't seem that many years ago that $100 million was huge money for an ENTIRE campaign.

I wonder how much $$$ Bill Clinton had to raise and spend to defeat Bush I? That would have been a pretty crazy situation. Trying to unseat a sitting President. Right after he had a victory in the Gulf War. And that wasn't that long ago.

No, I'm just trying to point out how much more it costs to fund an election campaign today than it did just a few years ago. This election is going to blow the lid off of any other campaign year that we have ever seen. i'm just curious how much it has inflated in the last 20 years or less.

Amazing. But, it also looks like more money is raised and spent when there is "not" an incumbent than when there is. That kind of surprised me, but I guess thinking about it, it makes sense.
