Video chat ripped.

True story ages ago I had the pleasant surprise to realize that in some lousay cam site as a registered user you could see the IP address of other users and guests.

Long story short (for 8 I'm not the type to wank in front of a putar ok) I registered a nickname; but didn't put any credit on it.

I was then entering a cam channel and then scanned people's putar to see if they had their infamous netbios port open; that was some time ago and that basic trick was possible without even being a skilled pirate..so just imagine what skilled vilans could do.

So once I knew who had their port open I was waiting them to enter into a chat session or best of all if they entered into a "private" cam session. So during this time the dood was wanking or something else but at least not paying at all attention to what the eventual security software he had installed could ever tell him (well chances that if he had the netbios port open that he didn't had anything but in those cases it's always better to keep cautious).

So the trick was to establish a netbios null session then to browse his computer and registry...
If the connection was fast some tool like "brutus" could even do some handy password cracking (chances are that if you leave some basic security wide open that you use a simple or no password at all...) and then have some real fun.

Btw this trick isn't anymore feasible easily as nowadays most of the equipments provides firewalling (through some nat'ing or with a real stuff) and many "antivirus/spywares/pests" programs includes a firewall (ok on that point many people could just leave everything go the fuck out but still the in could be locked even by pure luck). Not to mention that microsoft after a few years had the good idea to strenghten a little bit Netbios protocol (but many people suspect that they can't really because they have lost the documentation of the protocol and they only provide layers of new crap over some old undocumented crap).
