but I'm still trying to get over this, and talking is cathartic.
The scene: a local Safeway.
Characters: my kid and I
The situation: I give her a piece of fruit. She gags a little and I think she's ok. 20 seconda later, she looks at me and lifts her arms to be lifted. As I swoop in, she delivers me a vomit comet of epic proportions. Two of em. I look around and don't see anyone, and I want to get her out of there prior to the head spinning. So we go to the front of the store, but not before she realized she's puked on herself and starts screaming and pointing at it. I still don't see anyone, so I leave the puke cart and floor behind and never look back.
Then this:
My kid was acting weird last weekend. Like, laying on the floor and closing her eyes. Not typical. She's fricken hyper. Anyways, I decide she is tired and pick her up to put her to bed. Guess what happened next? Yep. She barfed all down the back of me. 4 times.
Probably the worst part of parenting so far.
