This thursday (April 5th) at 10pm The Ultimate Fighter 5 premieres. Exciting shit.
For those of you who haven't seen any of the episodes from previous seasons (i.e. everyone) the premise is this: 16 fighters, 2 opposing teams, 1 coach per team. The fights are 1 vs 1 and the losers leave the show.
The interesting thing is, one of the fighters, Joe Lauzon, beat the shit out of one of the coaches, Jens Pulver, on Sept. 23rd last year. He won by technical KO in 48 seconds.
Anyone else plan on watching?
Also, Jens Pulver will be giving a mixed martial arts seminar at my university two mondays from now. :yay:

Forrest seems to be pretty popular, but I hate him. He has no skill. His fighting strategy has always been to throw his fists at his opponent's face wildly. He's a pretty tough guy, so he was getting away with it for a while.
I remember the announcers joking about this, saying something like "Forrest told us earlier, 'maybe I'll look into that ground fighting thingy'" This was moments before Keith Jardine smacked the shit out of him.
After the fight with Jardine, Forrest started crying. Then, when the announcer came up to him and said something like, "I know you're really down about losing, and you're a really emotional guy and all that, but how do you feel." Forrest said something like, "He came here and did exactly what he wanted: beat me up. Now let's go home." and then he ran off. After a few seconds, Forrest came back. Then, he ran off in the other direction. Yup, he ran off in the wrong direction...into Jardine's corner. He didn't stop there either. He kept running until he left the venue completely, which the camera crew was nice enough to catch.
So yeah, Forrest Griffin is a big baby on top of being a skilless gorilla.
For far too long we've been asking ourselves "How do they cram all that graham?", when the question we should have been asking is "Is it right?" Man has defiantly slapped the face of God in the pursuit of a tastier cereal, and one day we will be struck down by our own hubris.

"It seems to me that crying is mostly a girl problem." Some fighter said that in regard to his teammate crying over his body weight, which was 20lbs too high and rising, despite his efforts to lower it. These guys are pretty observant.
