I was on the phone with the in-laws last night at 10:30. They live about 2 miles from where there were two tornados on the ground. They could hear one, but it was too dark to see anything. The electricity was out. They live out in the country.
About 10 minutes later they said all you could hear was sirens.....police, fire, ambulance, etc...

the last tornado that went through our town demolished a gas station along with half the town. the fuel tanks exploded and shit. it was crazy. it totally cut our town in half, literally...we couldn't get from one side to the other without driving 10 miles out of the way.

it was such a major pain in the ass to drive around that it really wasn't worth it...plus about 20 square miles were without power for more than a week, so finding food and gas sucked.
