...to a crawfish boil or something. Could those of you from the Gulf area please enlighten me about this? One of my co-workers is from Louisiana and she apparently is getting them shipped live.
Are they good? Are they like crab or lobster?

Oh...and by the way, I detest all sea food. Even tuna fish from a can makes me puke (and I don't have to use my typical finger down the throat tricks!)
So does that mean I'm going to hate crawfish too? Wink

Crawfish=shrimp....very similar in taste a boil may and should be very spicey corn/taters and all boiled together....mmmm....so i gather since your not a seafood person you'll be having the salad

If you don't like the crawfish tails then at least try the corn and new potatoes that are boiled along with them. The shit rules.

They are kind of like eating pecans. They are about as much work to peel and eat as the amount of nutrition that you get. Seriously, they are very good.

They look like little shrimp or small lobsters. You boil them in a crawdad boil mixture and cook new potatoes and small corn and onions in there,too. When all is done, they dip it out and dump it on newspapers on a table. You stand and peel the crawdads and eat the corn and new potatoes with your hands.

To peel the shrimp, you crack them open just below the head, so that you only have the tail in your hand. Then you pull off the little feet and then spread it open to reveal the meat going down the tail. You can also suck the brains and boil water from the head of the shell.

Very good. But it takes a long time to get full.

The brains are the best part. Don't get turned off by the bright green color of them, though.

2nd. those damn spices are good

Crawfish is good.. ya dont get much meat out of em, so it's damn near impossible to get full..

and they only go with beer!

just be sure to suck the heads.

I just remembered part of a song that an old boyfriend used to like...rather, he liked the whole band which I'm assuming came out of Louisiana. The song was something about sucking the heads, and he always told me it was about crawfish. I swear that's what he said.

Lightening took out one of my ozone sites yesterday. I told them not to put it in the middle of a damn field. $28,000 worth of equipment is fried.

We won't even need to do that. I don't think he's gotten very far up in his Tiger Woods golf game...since he's been playing it non-stop for four days.
Or we'll just tell him there's a castrated turkey on ESPN. That'll distract him for hours....

Listen you two, before you two run off to suck face, I mean crawdads. I will be requiring new batteries for my wireless remote if I am to play X-box while your away. The batteries seem to be dying, and I have already used up all the ones from your viberator.
