Question: does this mean the hockey players are not getting paid this year? Or will they be paid theire salary cause they are under contract?

because of their contract i would think they have to be paid but the contract might say they have to play to get paid.

Bettman has always maintained that the NHL would lose LESS money if they didn't play at all...players aren't getting paid.
