There's been plenty of talk that Reggie Fowler will become the league's first black owner. The deal gossiped to be worth 625 million. There's a press meeting scheduled for 2 pm CT.

Vit E's take, Fowler wants to relocate the Vikes to Los Angeles. The NFL may try to block the deal or at least the move. If the NFL could put an expansion team in the Los Angeles area, the second largest media metro in the nation, the value of that franchise would easily exceed a billion dollars, possibly two. That money would go straight to the league. The Vikings buy out money go to current owner Red McCombs.

Vit E was hoping Timberwolves owner (and Saunder firer) Glen Taylor would have been able to assemble financing to take over the Vikes. Glen Taylor is a Minnesota native who earned his fortune in the local banking industry. GT also served in the state legislature, this experience would be helpful in greasing the skids on passing a new stadium bill. Plus his other business interests (i.e. Timberwolves and Marquette Bank) are based here, reducing the likelyhood the team would ever leave this kick ass state.

I hope the deal goes through and they demolish the Metrodome with the Golden Gophers still inside. I'd buy a piece of the Metrodome brick from eBay and throw it at VitE's Passat.
