I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk. A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind. A need to return to genuine practice, right effort. Need to push on the great doubt. Need for the spirit. Hang on to the clear light.

thanks for joining the fun, biker
that is eccentric, but you will have to go deeper
tell us what happened that caused these deep-rooted anti-social feelings you are wont to manifest
TIA

hmmm, the real question is whether you feel your family was "normal"
i did until i got older, all my friends thought we were like the cleavers
but i found out later that my mom was a "functional psychotic" and could not live in society outside my father's care
one day when i got home from school, as i approached the house, i saw all my dad's clothing flying out the second floor window, just another day in the life

I'm not making this story up.
you had an eccentric uncle, but did you feel your family was more like "the cleavers" or "archie bunker"
it sounds like you and your mom had a good relationship if you were able to discuss things like this, congrats, my mom is still alive and still fucked up, a very bitter woman and a very difficult one with which to communicate

when i was a kid, my parents used to hide all the xmas presents in their bedroom under the bed. they used to tell us to not go in there, because santa claus may be bringing the presents in. one night, 3 or 4 days before the big day, my brother and i were on our way downstairs to grab some frosty sodas from the fridge after Saturday Night Wrestling on tv. i think i was 8 or 9 and he was 7 or 8. we walked by my parents room, hearing a comotion. certain it was the jolly man in the red suit, we opened the door just a crack to get a peek. there was my father, buck naked on the bed, fucking my aunt and her daughter, my cousin. this was his sister. my father, his sister, and my cousin getting it on while my mother was working. true story. and i got a train that year.
